Hiring Now – Senior Procurement Specialist (International)

Ginger SOFRECO is recruiting a Senior Procurement Specialist to join our Technical Assistance Team for the Jordan Water Sector Efficiency Project (JWSEP), financed by the World Bank, AFD, and GCFF, and implemented by the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ).
Our consortium has been awarded the contract, and the project will start shortly.

About the Project

Jordan faces extreme water scarcity, increasing demand, and climate-related pressures. The JWSEP aims to improve water service efficiency nationwide through:
• Sustainable Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reduction
• Improved energy efficiency
• Strengthened drought management systems
• Enhanced project management and institutional capacity

The Technical Assistance team will support WAJ, MWI, JVA, and the Water Companies across planning, procurement, monitoring, E&S compliance, and capacity building.

Key Responsibilities
• Review, prepare, and support bidding documents, ToRs, and procurement packages
• Ensure full compliance with World Bank Standard Procurement Documents
• Support evaluation committees and draft bid evaluation reports
• Assist WAJ/PMU and Water Companies throughout procurement processes
• Embed strategic NRW and project requirements in tender documents
• Contribute to project management, reporting, and capacity building activities

Qualification

Qualifications Required

Mandatory requirements according to project TORs:
• B.Sc. in engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 15 years of experience in procurement for water supply projects
• International Experience
• At least 5 years of experience using World Bank Standard Procurement Documents
• Knowledge of Jordanian public procurement legislation
• Full professional proficiency in English
• Arabic is an asset

International experience in donor-funded infrastructure projects (WB, AFD, KfW, etc.) is strongly valued.
