Ginger SOFRECO is seeking a National Communications & Knowledge-Management Expert to lead the communications and knowledge-management component of the Strengthening and Diversifying Climate-Resilient Livelihoods and Community Awareness on Five Roads, SHRCRNP (ADB-funded) Project. The expert will design and implement the project’s communications strategy, produce and disseminate knowledge products (briefs, newsletters, videos, databases), manage the knowledge-management system, and coordinate closely with the international and national team. He/she is accountable for ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of all communications outputs and for effectively sharing project results with stakeholders across the fifteen target communities.
Qualification
- Papua New Guinea citizenship
- Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Communications, Journalism, Media, Development Studies, Social Sciences or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in communications, knowledge-management, or information dissemination for development programmes (preferably in PNG or the Pacific).
- Demonstrated ability to produce a range of knowledge products (reports, briefs, newsletters, multimedia) and to manage knowledge-management tools.
- Experience integrating gender-responsive and climate-resilience messages into communication outputs.
- Strong analytical, writing and presentation skills; fluency in English and Tok Pisin.
- Prior experience in the Highlands region (optional).
