Climate change specialist

As Climate Change Specialist, you will lead the design, coordination, and monitoring of climate adaptation and mitigation activities to strengthen resilience and reduce vulnerability among project communities.
You will develop appropriate climate adaptation and mitigation strategies aligned with project objectives and community needs. You will provide technical inputs to workplans, M&E frameworks, and community-level implementation plans. You will design, implement, and monitor climate-smart agriculture, natural resource management, and ecosystem-based adaptation activities, while supporting the integration of sustainable land use, soil conservation, water management, and environmentally sound practices across livelihood interventions.
Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• At least more than 5 years of professional experience in project management; climate change, agriculture and livelihood, natural resource management, including experience leading a team or office of similar size and scope of accountability required.
• Technical or programming experience in livelihood, agriculture, climate, GEDSI, disaster risk management, HEA, protection preferred.
