In the framework of the project for the interconnection of the electricity networks of Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea, leading to the construction of a 1357 km, 225 kV double circuit transmission line to connect the 4 national electricity networks, a rural electrification component is planned for the populations living near the 225 kV line.
SOFRECO is carrying out the control and supervision of the execution of the entire rural electrification component for the contracting authority (Électricité de Guinée).
The works being carried include the construction of approximately 77 km of LV lines, 202 km of 33 kV MV lines, 32 substations of 100 kVa,  2 substations of 160 kVa and the supply of 2000 pre-pay meters and connection materials.
