The programme to control silting in the Niger river basin aims to curb the degradation process underway and to ensure the sustainable development of the entire zone.
The study concerns the elaboration of:
- A master plan to prevent silting in the Niger basin;
- An action plan;
- A short-, medium- and long-term investment programme.
