The RESHAOC was created to develop hospital cooperation among countries of West Africa, the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean, with the overarching goal of ‘promoting communication and encouraging exchanges with a view to establishing a genuine technical and scientific partnership among the various hospital actors’. This network is supported by the French Development Agency (AFD).
The Fédération hospitalière de France is currently implementing the second phase of the project ‘Hospital Networks and Partners’, with the objective of (i) building partner hospitals’ capacities in terms of health care, management and practices; (ii) supporting the development of new hospital partnerships; and (iii) supporting the creation of North-South and South-South hospital networks and strengthening existing networks.
The purpose of this assignment is to evaluate the way in which the RESHAOC operates and the possibility of creating a new similar network for the Maghreb region.
