Feasibility study for 70 MW wind farm in West Papua province ( 2022 - 2026 )
Ginger SOFRECO, in partnership with 3E, is supporting Indonesian public energy company PLN in the development of a major wind power project in Banten province on the island of Java.
The consortium is responsible for carrying out the entire feasibility study, covering all technical, environmental and economic aspects of the project. This includes a wind measurement campaign, technical design of the installations, network studies and a detailed assessment of the energy potential. The project also provides support for procurement and capacity strengthening within PLN to ensure the efficient and sustainable handover of the facilities.
This mission is in line with the country's energy transition objectives and its stated ambition to diversify its electricity mix and reduce carbon emissions, in accordance with Indonesia's commitments under the Paris Agreement.
