Formulation mission for sectoral support : Modernisation of Higher Education in Tunisia

Formulation of sector-based support, financed by the EC under the 2003 National Indicative Programme, which aimed at improving youth employability in the short term and contributing to the reduction of first-time job seekers' unemployment, contributing to an improvement of the competitiveness of the Tunisian economy by properly keeping up with the increasing demand of superior technicians and intermediate and superior executives and especially engineers, and improving the internal efficiency of the higher education system in order to master the costs of its reform and optimize its effects through the new budgetary approaches and methods investigated by the Tunisian government (approach by objective, decentralisation, etc.).
