Recognising the importance of ensuring access to adequate and quality maternal and neonatal care, the establishment of a national community of practice (CoP) for midwives in Eswatini has become a clear priority for the Ministry of Health in order to improve health outcomes and reduce maternal and infant mortality and morbidity.
- Support to the Ministry of Health to establish a community of practice for midwives in Eswatini and develop a guidance document on terms of reference to ensure the implementation of community of practice activities.
- Development of an online CoP web platform.
- Strengthening of the Ministry of Health's capacity to ensure the functionality and sustainability of the platform.
