Job description
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), under the Ghana Energy Sector Recovery Program (World Bank-funded), is seeking highly qualified experts for the supervision of the supply, installation, commissioning, and integration of 1 million Smart Pre-Payment Meters in Ghana.
Contract Duration: 20 months
Location: Ghana (onsite presence required).
Responsibilities include:
- Supervise supply, installation, and integration of Smart Meters
- Conduct factory acceptance tests (FATs) and site inspections
- Ensure technical compliance and quality assurance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and completion reports
- Coordinate with ECG engineers and contractors

Qualifications
We are looking for experts, with the following profiles:
Project Manager (1) - 18 months
- Graduate degree in Engineering
- =20 years experience in supervision of electricity distribution works
- =7 years in project management and contract supervision of AMI or similar metering projects
- Experience in at least two international AMI projects
- Must be present in Ghana during the project duration
HES / MDMS Expert (1) - 6 months
- Graduate Engineering degree
- =15 years total experience
- Experience in HES & MDMS implementation in AMI projects, preferably in multiple countries
- Experience with smart meter companies is an advantage
Material Quality Experts (2) - 3 months each
- Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
- =5 years in quality inspection, FATs, and technical compliance of electricity distribution meters
- Experience with smart meter manufacturers is an advantage
Regional Project Supervisors (5) - 14 months each
- Graduate Engineers with field experience in electricity distribution metering
- Handling quality assurance and compliance issues
- Must be present in Ghana during the project duration, stationed at regional ECG offices.
