Job description

The project, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), aims to enhance climate-resilient livelihoods and strengthen value chains in the highland regions of Laos. It focuses on improving agricultural productivity, sustainability, and market access for smallholder farmers while integrating climate adaptation measures. Through technical assistance, feasibility studies, capacity building, and the design of climate-smart agricultural models, the project seeks to boost rural incomes, improve infrastructure, and strengthen institutional capacities for long-term sustainable development in vulnerable upland communities.

Project duration : 6 years

Qualifications

The specialist will have :
(i) at least a master’s degree in civil engineering with professional engineer license;
(ii) at least 7 years of experience in the design and supervision of small infrastructure;
(iii) experience working with international organizations; and
(iv) a good knowledge of English and excellent knowledge of formal Lao language.
