Ginger SOFRECO is recruiting a Project Development Expert – Energy Engineer to join our Technical Assistance Team for the Jordan Water Sector Efficiency Project (JWSEP), financed by the World Bank, AFD, and GCFF, and implemented by the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ).
Our consortium has been awarded the contract, and the project will start shortly.

About the Project

Jordan faces extreme water scarcity, increasing demand, and climate-related pressures. The JWSEP aims to improve water service efficiency nationwide through:
• Sustainable Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reduction
• Improved energy efficiency
• Strengthened drought management systems
• Enhanced project management and institutional capacity

The Technical Assistance team will support WAJ, MWI, JVA, and the Water Companies across planning, procurement, monitoring, E&S compliance, and capacity building.

Key Responsibilities
Support planning and implementation of NRW reduction activities
Support energy efficiency & renewable energy components
• Review tender documents and energy-related designs
• Contribute to studies on load management, energy audits, and RE solutions
• Support WCs and WAJ in supervising energy sub-projects
• Provide technical inputs for reporting and monitoring
