Project Context
Jordan is one of the most water-scarce countries in the world. The Jordan Water
Sector Efficiency Project (JWSEP), co-financed by the World Bank, the Agence
Française de Développement (AFD), and the Global Concessional Financing Facility
(GCFF), aims to strengthen the sustainability, efficiency, and resilience of
the country’s water services. The project is being implemented by the Water
Authority of Jordan (WAJ) and the Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MWI)
between 2023 and 2028, with a total financing envelope of USD 300 million.

Position Summary
We are hiring an Energy Project Development Expert (Key Expert 8) to support
implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy measures across the
JWSEP.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct technical assessments for energy interventions
• Develop project documentation and templates
• Support procurement and implementation of energy projects
• Contribute to energy monitoring and reporting

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, energy engineering, or comparable.
  

• 
  

  More than 10 years of working experience with contractors in electromechanical projects.
  

• 
  

  Proven knowledge in preparation of project development templates and reports.
  

• 
  

  Proficiency in the English language.

Working Conditions
• Duty station: Amman, with field travel as required
• Full-time presence expected throughout the project duration
• Consultant will be engaged through a consulting firm under a services
contract
