Owner’s Engineer for Design, Procurement and Construction Supervision of the transmission network

Ginger SOFRECO is assisting the Dominica Geothermal Development Company (DGDC) in the construction of an electricity transmission network to evacuate energy produced by a 15 MW geothermal power plant. The project involves the construction of 60 km of medium and high voltage lines and six transformer substations. The mission covers the entire electrical infrastructure implementation cycle: design studies, tender preparation, contract award, works supervision and assistance during the warranty period. Ginger SOFRECO provides technical and contractual support at every stage of the project, ensuring that environmental, social, health and safety standards are integrated. This project is fully in line with Dominica's national sustainable development strategy, facilitating the exploitation of a local, clean and low-carbon resource and strengthening the island's energy independence.
