Ginger SOFRECO is assisting the Tajikistan Ministry of Energy and Water Resources in implementing structural reforms in the electricity sector. The mission focuses mainly on transforming the national operator into separate production, transmission and distribution entities, introducing independent regulation, revising the tariff methodology and creating a competitive electricity market. A specific component focuses on supporting the integration of renewable energies, including site identification, analysis of technical and regulatory constraints, structuring bankable projects and mobilising public and private financing.
