Project Implementation Consultant for the Golovnaya 240 MW Hydropower Plant Rehabilitation Project, the rehabilitation of a 110 kV facility and the construction of a 110 kV substation and line

Ginger SOFRECO alongside Tajikistan's national electricity company to rehabilitate the 240 MW Golovnaya hydroelectric power plant. This project aimed to extend the life of major electrical infrastructure, improve the reliability of distribution in high-demand areas and modernise the electricity transmission system in a country with significant hydroelectric potential. The mandate entrusted to Ginger SOFRECO and its partners Grüner Stucky and KGAL included assistance with procurement, full supervision of the works and contract management throughout all phases of the project. The team was also responsible for strengthening the capacities of the national operator and its management unit, particularly in the areas of planning, maintenance, safety and environmental management.
