Supporting the fight against poverty through the revitalisation of Côte d'Ivoire's health system and improvement of the population's state of health, particularly the most vulnerable (taking account of gender).
The PARSSI consisted of three components designed to improve the levels of use and quality of health care (in the health facilities of the intervention zone and beyond):
Component 1: Institutional support. The private not-for-profit healthcare offer benefits from more efficient technical and contractual support from the deconcentrated bodies of the Ministry of Health.
Component 2: Access to quality essential medicines.
Component 3: Community-based healthcare offer. The quality and accessibility of health care are improved in urban primary healthcare facilities in the project's target zones.
