Study on the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA) ( 2010 - 2012 )
Ginger SOFRECO conducted a structural study of the African Infrastructure Development Programme, a unified strategic framework for continental infrastructure development through 2040.
The team carried out an institutional and sectoral diagnostic covering the four areas of transport, energy, transboundary water and information/telecommunications. It also analysed existing policies, modelled the growth and projected infrastructure needs according to macroeconomic and sectoral scenarios. More than 1,600 projects from regional master plans were evaluated to establish a coherent long-term portfolio, supplemented by the structuring of a Priority Action Plan for 2020.
