Support for the Development of Health Human Resources - Initial Training ( 2018 - 2018 )
The Republic of Congo has received funding from the French Agency for Development (AFD) to implement the Human Resources Development Support Project (PADRHS). The PADRHS aims to enable the Ministry of Health and Population (MSP) to effectively perform the various functions related to human resources for health (HRH). It has two components: (i) PADRHS-HRH and (ii) PADRHS-initial training (IT) for nurses, midwives and laboratory technicians. PADRHS-IT awarded a contract to the USI-University of Montreal (UdeM)/Conseil Santé consortium, which ran from July 2014 to November 2016. It consisted of two components: ‘governance’ and ‘training.’ The current mandate, for which the UdeM was commissioned, focused on the implementation of new training programmes through the LMD and APC for nurses, midwives and laboratory technicians at the University of Marien Ngouabi.
