Technical assistance and support for the financial management of the institutional support to the Programme to support sector-based health policy, phase 2 (PAPS 2)

In the interest of providing quality healthcare, we have supported the Department of Healthcare in operationalising the national healthcare programme so that health districts and local authorities have the capacity to support quality healthcare and to strengthen emergency surgical care coverage at the primary healthcare level with a view to achieving universal healthcare coverage. The TA also supported the operational implementation of the strategic plan to combat non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

The project strengthened the capacity of 3,805 people on various topics, Including training for data managers on DHIS2 data quality analysis tools; training for trainers on communication about the risks of COVID-19 and community engagement, training of Ministry of Health staff on the gender approach, training of doctors in the management of the main NCDs, and much more.
