The overall objective of the National Information Platforms for Nutrition (NIPN) is to contribute to the reduction of undernutrition. The primary goal of the NIPN is to build the capacity to analyse data for assessing progress, informing policy and improving nutrition programmes. In particular, the NIPN aims to establish relationships between nutrition indicators and any investments made in nutrition in order to better understand and guide strategic nutrition policy choices and priorities. The technical assistance provides support on the needs assessment, the integration of nutrition-sensitive sectors into nutrition policies and advocacy and capacity building in statistical and data analysis.

Technical Assistance on the Shire Valley Transformation Programme - 1 (SVTP-1), funded by the World Bank, the African Development Bank, the Global Environment Facility and the Government of Malawi. The objective of this consultancy is to build the capacity of the Smallholder Owned Commercial Farm Enterprises (SOCFEs) established within the Project in the District of Chikwawa, to enable them to professionally manage commercial farms with viable financial status and sustainable market linkages.

The joint donor initiative, Capacity for Nutrition (C4N), is a component of the K4N programme. C4N aims to provide support to the EC and EU Delegations (DEU) in building nutrition-related programmes and policies that are evidence-based in their formulation and implementation. Our services consist of technical advisory support to INTPA F3 and the EU Delegations in West Africa on the following topics: i) integration of nutrition into national health and agricultural policies, ii) leadership and governance of nutrition at the regional level, and iii) improved and quality data and analyses for the development and implementation of effective nutrition policies.

The Agro-Industrial Pole Project in the Bélier region (2PAI-Bélier, €97 million) aims to promote value chains in synergy with the development of private initiatives. It aims to lay the foundations for the emergence of an agricultural development sector and provides for partnerships with key structures such as the Côte d'Ivoire SME Agency in order to attract as many investors as possible to the area.
The objective of this technical assistance is to support the actors in the value chains of the project's target sectors, particularly small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises, with the aim of improving their competitiveness and efficiency.

Technical assistance to strengthen the governance of agricultural inputs and equipment subsidy in Mali: i) Support to the reform of the fertiliser and agricultural equipment sector; ii) Improvement in the targeting of priorities; iii) Digitalisation of the management and distribution of subsidised agricultural inputs; Improvement in the quality control of agricultural inputs and equipment.

Assistance to the joint definition, with the Nigerien authorities and the EU Member States, of the priority actions in the 2021-2027 programming in support of the development of agro-sylvo-pastoral value chains in Niger. To this end, the team is developing: i) a diagnosis of the agro-sylvo-pastoral private sector, ii) an in-depth analysis of 10 value chains identified as the most promising, and iii) proposals of actions to develop the private agro-food sector in Niger.

The Territorial Development Support Programme (PADT) aims to support the implementation of 2 major reforms of the Government of Morocco, including the ''National Strategy for the Development of Rural Areas and Mountain Zones (SNDERZM)''. Technical assistance for the SNDERZM aims to support MAPMDREF in implementing component 2 of this strategy, which targets the promotion of integrated territorial projects of an economic and/or environmental nature. The TA provides its technical expertise in order to i) strengthen the know-how of stakeholders throughout the project cycle, ii) provide them with the operational tools and approaches needed to identify and develop territorial development potential.

This technical assistance to ANASA aims to support the implementation of component 1 of the Support to agricultural statistics and land (ASAF) programme, i.e., ‘to support Guinea in the relaunch/redevelopment of sustainable statistical information systems in the rural sector'. The specific objectives (SO) are:
SO1: Institutional strengthening of the sector’s structures and coordination;
SO2: Establishment of the methodological bases for regular, quality statistical production;
SO3: Establishment of the sector’s baselines through the development of the National Agriculture and Livestock Census (RNAE);
SO4: Relaunch/establishment of a system for annual business and consumer surveys.
