The general objective of the assignment is to provide environmental and social advisory and backstopping support and training to the relevant governments and regulatory agencies responsible for oversight and regulations in relation to environmental and social matters in the Eastern Caribbean countries that are pursuing GE development. Following the promulgation by the Congolese government of Laws No. 33-2020 and No. 38-2024 establishing a log production sharing scheme between the State and forest licence holders, Ginger SOFRECO was tasked with conducting three studies aimed at providing: (i) support to the Ministry in the design and operationalisation of the company responsible for managing the State's share under the log production sharing scheme (first study), (ii) a transcription of the conclusions of the first study into the legal framework in the form of implementing texts (second study), and (iii) a proposed methodology for classifying Forest Management Units (FMUs) as Permanent Forest Domains (third study).
Development of Student Assessment System ( 2024 - 2026 )
The assignment focuses on designing and supporting the implementation of Belize's National Student Assessment System to measure and monitor student and school performance, with a view to improving teaching and learning. Our consortium is developing a policy for assessments at the primary and secondary levels, creating tools like item banks and marking guidelines aligned with the curriculum, and designing an integrated management system compatible with existing education data platforms. Our consortium is also responsible for piloting the system in 2024–2025, using both paper and computer-adaptive tests, while engaging stakeholders to ensure smooth adoption and sustainability.
Development of curricula for five (5) sectoral training centres and capacity building of teams from the Research and Curricula Office for Post-Basic Technical and Vocational Education ( 2025 - 2025 )
The main objective of the mission is to increase access to training opportunities in technical skills development and entrepreneurship for young people, with a focus on women and refugees. The revised training programmes are designed to meet the needs of the labour market, thus ensuring consistency between the skills acquired in training establishments and corporate labour requirements.

The objective of the mission is to contribute to a sustainable transformation of the higher education and scientific research system in Algeria, in order to better align it to national development and labour market needs. It aims to strengthen the quality of training, improve the efficiency and credibility of accreditation processes, stimulate scientific innovation and promote greater recognition of research through structured partnerships with socio-economic stakeholders. Ginger SOFRECO assesses the pedagogical and institutional capacity of two Colleges in St Lucia, Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC) and the National Skills Development Centre (NSDC), under the OECS Skills and Innovation Project. The assignment supports alignment between post-secondary education and labour market needs. It examines governance, academic quality, teaching practices, and quality assurance. The team also evaluates EMIS, student services, and private sector engagement. Findings inform targeted recommendations and a capacity development plan. The goal is to strengthen institutional performance and foster innovation in education across the OECS.
Study on the fiscal potential of the mining sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo, including an analysis and audit of the tax regime ( 2025 - 2026 )
This study, commissioned by the DRC Ministry of Finance via COREF and carried out on behalf of the Technical Unit for Mining Coordination and Planning (CTCPM) of the Ministry of Mines, aims to assess the fiscal potential of the DRC mining sector and to analyse and audit the tax regime. The main objective of the mission is to propose an action plan to improve governance in the mining sector for the proper channelling and management of revenues generated by mining activity.
