The Support Project for the Competitiveness of Logistics Services for Trade ($18 million) provides for the renewal of the road transport vehicle fleet in particular, enabling passenger and goods road transport companies to renew their fleets and become more competitive.
Under this component of the project aimed at setting up a system for treating and recycling vehicles that are too old and that will be taken off the road, the study aims to assess the technical and commercial feasibility of a vehicle scrapyard meeting environmental and social standards, integrating both the organisational and financial dimensions of the value chain (governance, economic model, etc.) and the technical and operational dimensions (site, process description and layouts, guide drawings of the facilities and infrastructures). It covers the vehicles that will be removed from the vehicle fleet as part of the renewal programme, as well as any other vehicles destined for scrapping according to criteria to be defined with the competent authorities.

The objective of the assistance, within the framework of the long-term partnership between BiH and the European Union, was to contribute to progress in the Stabilisation and Association process and foster institutional development and economic growth in BiH. The objective of the study is to develop a conceptual proposal for an agribusiness park, to be situated close to the sugar mills for industries that use sugarcane related by-products as well as businesses involved in the supply of inputs and services to the sugar industry. This encompasses a proposed location, a detailed review of the relevant legislation, the incentives to put in place and the required infrastructures. The consultant is expected to prepare a detailed conceptual proposal with implementation timelines, clearly outlining actions to be taken by the sugar industry and those to be undertaken by Government.
