Provision of technical assistance to the Kabul Medical University and the Ghazanfar Institute of Health Sciences with the following purposes:
- Upgrading the nutrition curricula in the existing professional diplomas of nurses and midwives and training of teachers in the new curricula
- Revision of the nutrition curricula in the bachelor degrees for medical doctors, nurses and the public health postgraduate programme of the Kabul Medical University.

Assessed the pre-election situation in the light of international standards for democratic elections and Tanzanian legislation. The assessment covered the: (i) political situation, (ii) legislative framework, (iii) election administration, (iv) human rights and fundamental freedoms, (v) media, (vi) voter registration, (vii) party and candidate registration, (viii) security aspects, (ix) logistics and operational matters, and any other relevant issues relating to the elections and the possible deployment of an Election Observation Mission of the European Union.
Competitiveness and Growth Support Project (PRACC); Revision of the mining code, tax system and related implementing decree ( 2019 - 2021 )
Study to reform the mining code to modernise it and bring it into compliance with good international practices, and to prepare implementing provisions for the mining taxation system to improve the economic benefits for the population and reduce the environmental impacts.
Consultancy services for the Extension and Restructuring of Electricity Distribution Networks ( 2016 - 2022 )
The objective of this consultancy project was to ensure the proper performance of the works in accordance with the contractual specifications and requirements in terms of quality, schedule and costs, as well as the efficient commissioning of the project for the two following components: Lot A, covering the restructuring and extension of the electricity distribution networks of nine cities in Senegal, and Lot B, covering the procurement and installation of pre-paid meters and smart meters. The Consultant acted as the Contracting Authority’s representative during the execution of the contracts to be carried out on the latter’s behalf by the constructors and suppliers. Under the authority of the Project Coordinator, the Consultant worked with the project implementation unit in the spirit of teamwork and broad consultation.
Supervision of works to connect isolated secondary centres to the national power grid ( 2015 - 2017 )
Supervision of the works carried out by SONABEL (Burkina Faso's national power utility) under three simultaneous contracts:
- Contract 1: Construction of the 90 kV Ouagadougou - Ouahigouya power line
- Contract 2: Construction of a 90/33/20 kV substation in Ouahigouya and extension of the 225/90/33 kV Ouagadougou substation
- Contract 3: Construction of the 33 kV Kongoussi - Djibo power line, extension of the distribution grids in Djibo and electrification of Ouahigouya, Gourcy, Yako, Bourzanga and Namsiguia, construction of the 33 kV Kaya - Dori power line, extension of the distribution grids of Dori, and electrification of Pissila Tougouri, Yalgo and Bani.
Project for the supervision of the extension works on the Bobo II power plant ( 2013 - 2015 )
Within the framework of the project for the supervision of the extension works on the Bobo II thermal power plant, SOFRECO is verifying the construction plans, controlling the works and carrying out the approval of the acceptance tests for the different structures to be built under this project (additional 2x10 MW, HFO/DDO fuel), located near Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina's second largest city.
Mother and Child Health Support Project in Senegal ( 2016 - 2019 )
The purpose of the Mother and Child Health Support Project (PASME) is to help improve mother and child health in Senegal, particularly in the three regions of Louga, Kolda and Sedhiou.
The specific objectives of the project aim to:
1) Build the capacities of the national and regional teams of Louga in charge of RH programmes
2) Improve the quality of mother and newborn care, particularly in the regions of Louga, Kolda and Sedhiou
3) Increase the offer and demand of health care services for mothers and children and young people.
Support for the implementation of the Solidarity-Health-Sahel Initiative (I3S) ( 2015 - 2017 )
Niger's Solidarity-Health-Sahel Initiative (the I3S project, ‘Initiative Solidarité-Santé-Sahel’) supports the efforts of the government and its partners to achieve the MDGs. Its overall objective is to strengthen and ensure the sustainability of free child health care from 0 to 5 years old, and its specific objectives are to: i) simplify and secure the invoice circuit by deconcentrating the validation and payment of invoices to departmental or regional level; ii) improve the monitoring, control and governance of the system for exemption from payment of care at all levels, and; iii) establish innovative, sustainable funding mechanisms. It will work in synergy with the interventions of all actors involved, in order to consolidate the existing or planned child welfare system.
