The Project to Support the Training of Human Resources in the Industrial and Construction Fields (PAFRIBTP) involves modernising the public initial and continuing training system in close partnership with the private sector. The objective is to propose training attuned to the requirements of the market, professionals and businesses. It targets secondary schools, training centres and universities to support them in the following areas: (i) renovation of infrastructures, (ii) equipment supply, (iii) improvement and development of training programmes in relation to the identified industrial sub-sectors, and (iv) training support for trainers.
Pre-feasibility study for the development of the science and engineering complex of the University of Nairobi ( 2019 - 2020 )
This pre-feasibility study aims to support the University of Nairobi to develop its science and engineering complex. It must formulate its future directions, which will be fine-tuned by a feasibility study. At this stage, the study includes a general diagnosis of the demand for competences on the labour market and of those existing, and a forecast of future competences in specific fields. It also includes a roadmap for the establishment of the complex, covering infrastructures, equipment, human resources and the training to be delivered.
Improved capacity building for teachers' professional development (training of pre-school and primary teachers) ( 2018 - 2020 )
The purpose of this project is to strengthen the quality of the pre-university education sector by:
(i) building capacities at local/municipal level to establish sustainable teacher professional development at school level;
(ii) introducing a teacher mentoring system in Kosovo's school system;
(iii) establishing a criteria-based and transparent teacher recruitment system.
