The goal of the assignment is to provide high-level technical assistance and build the capacity of the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSFD) to address, implement and support the provision of quality access to three main gender-responsive social services: 1) aged care, 2) early childcare, and 3) domestic violence and gender-based violence (DV/GBV).

The Government of the Republic of The Gambia obtained an advance fund from the World Bank for the preparation of a Sub-Saharan Women’s Empowerment and Demographic Dividend Project (SWEDD). The SWEDD target audience analysis (including key informant interviews and focus group discussions) aims  at: understanding the knowledge, attitudes, practices and social norms, developing a SWEDD Social and Behaviour Change Communication Plan (SBCC), designing messages and developing communication support materials and tools and pre-testing messages and materials with target audiences in The Gambia.

The objective of this evaluation is to measure the progress made towards achieving the expected results of the girls' schooling component of the adaptive social safety nets project. It also provides the necessary elements to highlight the contribution of the SCOFI component in strengthening the resilience of beneficiary households and to formulate strategic and practical recommendations based on the lessons learned, which can be shared with all stakeholders, including funding agencies and target beneficiaries, with a view to defining the measures needed for a possible second phase of this component and for enhanced coordination of high-impact actions by funding agencies.
This evaluation concerns the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of the SCOFI component's activities.

From November 2021 to September 2022, Conseil Santé supported the Ministry of Social Affairs and Humanitarian Action in the development of the national strategy for non-contributory social protection. This technical assistance, implemented by 3 experts on the field, consisted initially in carrying out a diagnostic of all existing systems and mechanisms for the care of poor and vulnerable populations. This led to the development of two strategic action scenarios for non-contributory social protection.

This technical assistance to the National Social Protection Secretariat aims to facilitate coordination, build capacity, strengthen systems and generate evidence in the social protection sector, with a view to expanding universal life-course social protection from 2020.
The activities aim to provide advice and expertise in the social protection sector on (i) institutional development and coordination (ii) institutional strengthening and capacity building (iii) planning, budgeting and financing; building capacity at central and local levels, and (iii) support for service management and the monitoring of progress against performance indicators and the formulation of policy advisory recommendations and substantial inputs for sector policy dialogue, communication and visibility.

The objective of this ADB-funded Transaction Technical Assistance (TRTA) is to support the project preparation to improve the quality and supply of nurses in Turkmenistan through improvements in the quality of nursing education and training, modernizing nursing education and strengthening the management of human resources for health. The firm also assists in the construction and modernization of the new nursing school as well as with the development of a strategic document for ADB’s engagement in the health sector reform. This assistance is thus aimed at enabling the assessment of the technical and financial feasibility of the Improving Nursing Quality and Capacity Project, designed by the ADB in collaboration with the Turkmen Ministry of Health and Medical Industry (MoHMI).

Provision of all the assistance required by the Ministry of Public Health, Population and Social Affairs and the Project Management Unit (PMU) in the process of acquiring medical diagnostic imaging equipment and services, based on the needs identified by the country.
The expected results of this service are:
- Proposal of site plans and installation constraints for each site;
- Reports/recommendations on the selection, technical specifications and tender documents for medical diagnostic imaging equipment;
- Reports/recommendations on maintenance and training for users and maintenance technicians.

Through the debt relief and development unit for health (C2D) and sovereign loan financing, the AFD is supporting Côte d'Ivoire to improve its population’s access to quality health services.
The most significant infrastructure involves hospitals and regional training schools (National Institute for Health Worker Training [INFAS]) and for the monitoring of this infrastructure, the AFD is financing project management assistance services to support Côte d'Ivoire's Ministry of Health with the monitoring of implementation and equipment for 14 establishments: 9 general hospitals, 3 regional hospitals, 1 psychiatric hospital and INFAS Aboisso.

This project was the subject of Component 2 of the Promotion of Reproductive and Family Health Programme of KfW in cooperation with the Guinean Ministry of Health. The implementation of the procurement fund was aimed at financing reproductive health services, including deliveries and Emergency Obstetrics and Neo-natal Care (EMONC) in health facilities through the implementation of the Performance-Based Financing (PBF) approach. The Management Agency of the purchase fund is responsible for monitoring in the field (verification service). The health care services to be reimbursed under this purchase fund are assisted births, the EmONC package (caesarean sections, obstetric and neo-natal complications), prenatal and postnatal consultations, family planning, transport and evacuation costs, the identification and routing of women, infrastructure maintenance, equipment and logistics.
