Ginger SOFRECO is providing technical expertise to a flagship urban mobility project in East Africa – the Phase 5 BRT line (28.73 km) in Dar es Salaam. Our team is providing key specialists in contract management, claims, road safety and non-motorised transport (NMT), contributing to: (i) the technical supervision of works and contract management ; (ii) the improvement of the climate resilience of infrastructure; (iii) an integrated review of road, drainage and station designs; (iv) the monitoring of environmental and social measures; and (iv) capacity building for TANROADS in project management.

The objective of the assignment is to support in-service teacher training institutions (NCTT and STTCs) to master the skills required to lead their activities, including those pertaining to education in emergencies, based on the national strategy, specifically by: (i) delivering office equipment to the NCTT, (ii) conducting a comprehensive needs assessment to analyse the NCTT and selected STTCs’ human and institutional gaps, (iii) developing an action plan based on the needs assessment’s findings to mitigate the identified challenges, and (iv) conducting relevant training based on the action plan and the drafting of a White Paper.

This research project aims to create a comprehensive document that meticulously traces the historical trajectory of the relationship between the Delegation of the European Union (EUDEL) in Eritrea and the Government of Eritrea, covering the period starting from 1995 until the end 2023. The document is to be structured into chapters, each corresponding to different phases of this evolving relationship. To compile this historical record, a thorough examination of both oral and archival sources must be carried out. The project consists of three distinct phases: initial planning and overview, followed by the meticulous collection of primary sources, culminating in the writing of the final document.

The objective of this consultation is to build on the validated Master Plan for El-Maarouf Hospital to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Health, other government agencies and El-Maarouf Hospital managers for the operationalisation of the hospital to ensure efficient use and management of resources and to improve the Comorian population’s access to care.

The purpose of this project is to assist the contracting authority (the Ministry of Health) during the design and study phases, the award of contracts, the analysis and selection of service providers, the monitoring and control of works in compliance with the environmental and social management framework, the acceptance of works and equipment as well as the commissioning phase.

The overall objective of this study is to determine the feasibility of a project to expand the Centres of Excellence (COE) in order to increase their capacity and further improve the quality of holistic services offered to survivors and other vulnerable women at the Panzi Hospital in Bukavu and the Heal Africa Hospital in Goma.
- The existing infrastructure and equipment is being assessed, needs are being determined and the quality of service is being evaluated.
- The functionality and daily management of the said CDEs is determined and the relevance of the expansion/renovation with regard to the demand for services, particularly for referral capacity and geographical coverage;
- The short- and medium-term benefits of the cost of the expansion on health is determined and the potential short- and long-term effects of the expansion of the two CDEs on health system strengthening in the two provinces of North Kivu and South Kivu, are noted;
- The effectiveness and efficiency of the expansion in relation to the health system as a whole are being assessed; the institutional and organisational diagnostic is being carried out and the capacity strengthening plan is being drawn up.

Support to the Ministry of Health in the establishment of a Community of Practice (CoP) for Eswatini midwives and development of a guidance document related to terms of reference to ensure the implementation of the CoP’s activities. This includes the creation of an online platform to be used as a key national CoP resource centre to enhance midwives' interaction at the national level. The objective is to enhance the midwifery practice and ultimately improve the outcome of maternal and newborn care services.
