The objective of the project is to prepare the geology and mining studies for the Al Jalamid mine expansion within the PHOS-3 project:
* Resource modelling and classification, COG specification,
* Resources at least at the indicated level,
* Reserves at the probable level,
* Conceptual mine development,
* +/- 20% cost estimate for the mine and associated infrastructure.

The Moroccan mining industry is facing some serious health and safety issues. The number of work-related accidents and occupational diseases that are becoming more and more serious seems to be growing compared to other industrial sectors.
Aware of this situation, the EBRD has launched a request for proposals aiming to select a consultant who will be in charge of conducting a study to analyse the health and safety issues of the Moroccan mining industry. This study includes a legal and practical analysis of the situation and puts forward some recommendations to strengthen the capacity of operators and administration in order to align health and safety management in Moroccan mines with the best international practices.

The objective of this work was to define the best cut-off grade strategy and optimal pit limit for the Goro project (Vale New Caledonia). Vale New Caledonia is an ore mining company (limonite and saprolite) producing nickel and cobalt. The work included the following activities: update of the mine design criteria, pit optimisation and scenario analysis, mine design and mine production schedule and infrastructure design.

The objectives of phase 1 were to collect the data/documents in Auplata’s possession that were relevant to carry out the geological and mining studies, and more generally, the studies needed to develop the deposits of Yaou, Dorlin, Dieu Merci, Couriège, Bon Espoir and Iracoubo Sud, and to create a documentary database integrating these data/ documents.   
The objective of the second phase was to define the optimal methodology to obtain the resources indicated for Auplata’s deposits (Yaou, Dorlin, Dieu Merci, Couriège, Bon Espoir and Iracoubo Sud). Here ‘optimal methodology’ means a methodology maximising the chances of achieving the objective, i.e. obtaining the resources indicated, in a cost-effective manner.

Design, supervision and studies for the complementary works of the PHOS-3 project:
- One Trial Mining Cut (TMC) for the characterisation of the UMW4-5 deposit, including drill and blast, digging tests, equipment performance, bulk sampling (app. 60 t of ore), transportation for crushing and milling tests, in-situ bulk density, moisture content and Point Load Test (PLT - optional) as well as geological logging and sampling.
- Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling as part of grade control.

The objective of this project is to build the capacity of MEM agents through training sessions tailored to the identified needs. This involves analysing the training needs, developing training modules adapted to these needs and carrying out the training. The ToR also specify that recommendations must be made in terms of continuing training and curricula reform.
