Technical audit services for the Lusaka low voltage distribution network ( 2019 - 2023 )
The Lusaka Transmission Distribution Rehabilitation Project intends to achieve the capacity reinforcement and expansion of the entire Lusaka HV-MV network (from 132kV down to 33kV and 11kV distribution lines) with associated bulk power substations and transformers.
The purpose of the technical audit services is to provide factual, regular reporting and advice to ensure the project has been implemented in accordance with the laid down contractual and technical specifications and requirements. Specifically, it aims to verify and control the organisational, technical, contractual and financial aspects of the project and the results achieved during its implementation.

Control and supervision of the extension, reinforcement and rehabilitation works on the distribution networks in the cities of Abidjan, Bouaké and San-Pedro (ENERGOS) ( 2017 - 2023 )
The project aims to strengthen electricity services in three of Côte d’Ivoire’s main cities. It is made up of: a ‘distribution network’ component, including the extension of HV and LV networks (lines and stations); a ‘public lighting’ component, to replace lamps by more economic models, and a component to train the Contracting Authority and Project Manager.
The Consultant is providing support services to the Contracting Authority and Project Manager for the control and supervision of the construction works of the two components of the ENERGOS project, including revision of the technical studies, project management, administration of the Contractors’ contracts, preparation and technical supervision of the works, their administrative and financial verification, tests and provisional and definitive acceptance, and monitoring during the guarantee period.

This project provides technical assistance to the PMU operating within the major national energy utility, Barki Tojik (BT) for:
- the rehabilitation of the 240 MW Golovnaya HPP (6 Kaplan turbines) commissioned in 1964, 120 km south of Dushanbe on the Vakhsh cascade. This involves two separate turnkey contracts (rehabilitation of the powerhouse and of the plant’s 110 and 220 kV switchyards);
- the rehabilitation of a 110 kV facility and construction of the new 110 kV Rudaki substation in Vose district (Khatlon province) and of a new line (10 km) (turnkey contract) to overcome voltage drops and overloads resulting in frequent outages.
Both parts involve procurement activities, project and contract management services over the design and works phases, works supervision, staff training, and environmental and social safeguard monitoring.
Electricity Transmission and Distribution Network Development Project ( 2013 - 2023 )
This project aims to improve supply reliability by conditioning the transmission and distribution system, rehabilitating the protection relay, and strengthening and increasing the power supply capacity so as to provide electricity to non-electrified or newly developing areas, thereby contributing to economic and social development in the Santo Antão, S. Vicente, Sal, Maio, Santiago and Fogo islands of Cape Verde.
The work carried out by the Consultant involves the supervision of the works, including the installation of underground lines, overhead lines, transformers, meters and a SCADA system. It includes the control and surveillance of the works, and monitoring the implementation of environmental and social measures. Training support is also provided to the Project Owner.
